Supporting education and innovation at the Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.
Annually, Design Fellows travel to NYC for several days in the fall to visit marketing, strategy and branding agencies. In addition, students network with Smith alumni at an evening event.
Professors Harms and Bomstein assist students in securing internships in the field for their junior spring semester, summer and senior year. Students do internships in a variety of areas including branding, marketing, event planning, marketing research, graphic design and digital marketing at both entrepreneurial and established firms.
Courses focus on the intersection of design and business. The final capstone class splits students into agency teams and presents them with real clients and real problems that need to be addressed.
“Design Fellows is more than anything I could have asked for from the business school.”
